EMGSCA OUTSTANDING SERVICE AWARD
Greg Rowe
​The EMGSCA Outstanding Service Award honors an individual whose exceptional dedication and contributions have positively impacted girls' soccer at the high school level and beyond. This award recognizes their commitment to fostering skill development, leadership, and sportsmanship, while inspiring and empowering the next generation of female athletes. Their efforts have not only elevated the sport but also helped create lasting opportunities for girls to thrive both on and off the field.
Greg has been a driving force in advancing girls' and women's soccer, serving as the former president of the Eastern Massachusetts Girls Soccer Coaches Association (EMGSCA) and the current president of the Boston Dream. His leadership at EMGSCA elevated the organization by streamlining processes, expanding participation, and securing sponsorships. He forged key partnerships with Making Strides, Puma, and United Coaches Association, thus increasing the number of All-New England and All-American players honored from Eastern Mass.
​A strong advocate for inclusivity, Greg worked to involve more schools, coaches, and players, and established scholarships in honor of players and coaches we have lost. He promoted coaching education and strengthened connections with college coaches. Greg also helped create the EMGSCA website, developed the constitution, revamped the preseason jamboree, and introduced the Championship awards for teams reaching the final four. Greg’s efforts have left a lasting impact on the growth of girls' and women's soccer, inspiring players and coaches alike.
