Sue Hendee Sue Hendee is one of the original members of EMGSCA, dedicating countless hours to our organization. For many years, she served on the Eastern Mass All-Star Committee, helping to organize and run this special event for countless exceptional athletes. Before retiring, she spent a few years serving as Vice President. Sue also represented our organization as a liaison on the MIAA Soccer Committee. Over the course of more than 30 years of coaching at Wilmington High School, Sue amassed over 300 wins and built one of the most successful girls’ soccer programs in the state. Many of her former players went on to compete at the collegiate level—and one even played professionally. A proud Springfield College graduate, Sue was among the first recipients of the National Coach of Significance Award and is a member of the Massachusetts High School Soccer Coaches Hall of Fame. Her accomplishments also include nine league titles, a Division 2 North Sectional Championship, a state finalist appearance, and numerous Coach of the Year honors. Beyond coaching, Sue dedicated countless hours to organizing charitable events such as the Pan-Mass Children’s Bike Ride and Kick Cancer games, raising thousands of dollars for a local breast cancer support organization. Sue Hendee’s leadership, passion, and service have had a profound and lasting impact on the growth of girls’ and women’s soccer—not only in her community, but throughout Eastern Massachusetts. 2025 Team MVP Award
